OJAICALIFORNIA
California
as it should be.
A historic, ~1,000-acre regenerative ranch, less than a mile from downtown Ojai.
Wide-open land.
Deep California roots.
For more than a century, few people had the chance to experience this corner of Ojai.
Behind the gates: wide-open pastures, 300-year-old oak groves, and dramatic mountain views. An organic-certified ranch steeped in California history.

“Inside our gates,
time slows down.”
Letting the land
come back to life.
After decades of neglect, we’ve spent the last five years restoring RMR. We began by letting the land rest and embracing nature.
Then came rotational grazing: sheep, goats, and egg-laying hens moving through the ranch, reducing wildfire fuel while improving soil health.
More recently, we’ve begun growing fruits, vegetables, and grains using regenerative techniques to improve ecosystem health. Our crops and simple post-harvest handling are certified organic by CCOF.

Regenerative grazing
Sheep, goats, and pasture-raised egg-laying hens rotate throughout the ranch. Their grazing reduces wildfire fuel while adding fertility to the soil.
Organic small grains
Thirty acres of fields support heritage and heirloom varieties of wheat, corn, rye, sunflowers, peas, beans, and more.
We plant without fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides, relying mostly on well-timed grazing and occasional minimal tillage to prepare the land and manage weeds.
